CASA Film Studios rebrands to Tooting Film Studios
We’re changing our name after 18 months of trading under CASA Film Studios to Tooting Film Studios. The name for CASA came from wanting to build a home for creatives and a place where everyone feels welcomed.
We’re not leaving those values but we are moving to a name that is more clear about what our business is and where its located.
We need to be easier to find for new clients and Tooting was a name that immediately made sense.
Despite being resistant to changing to a location based name, it has long been an industry naming tradition, meaning it’s what productions expect when searching for the right space.
Why Tooting?
We’re sandwiched between Mitcham Eastfields and Tooting Train station and since Tooting is more recognisable, we’ve decided to be Tooting. Simple as that.
To any Americans reading this; Yes, we know. But you had a President with the surname “Trump” so lets call it even.
Why now?
The only good time to do a rebrand is 12 months ago. So now is better than later.
In the 18 months we’ve been open, we’ve had many great productions through our doors, including work for the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Red Bull Records. BUT, we’re not going to rest on that, we want to go further.
We have exciting plans for our future and rebranding was a natural step in that direction.
Rebrand Creative
Our rebrand is based on an object that unites all the different crews that come through our doors.
The well traveled and humble Peli Case. Covered in stickers, old gaffer and airport barcodes.
Our logo is made of two pieces of gaffer tape and we’ve made a collection of cheeky industry phrases for crews to stick to their cases.
